A few years ago, at a 2nd tier Shanghai University, there was an unprecedented 10 student suicides in one semester.
2 boys hung themselves after being caught stealing books from the university library to sell to have enough money to eat at least one meal a day.
7 girls jumped from the roofs of tall buildings after giving in to their boyfriends’ demands for sex, only to have the boyfriend abandon them afterwards.
Boys reduced to stealing to survive and girls who think loss of virginity and boyfriend means they are used goods and could never marry.
HEARTBREAKING to say the least. To have happened in Shanghai, one of China’s most developed cities and at a famous university is simply unbelievable!
Remember, boyfriends and girlfriends are like a taxi. If you miss this one, another will come along shortly.

It’s a pity for me to hear all this.Suicide means that one intentionally or voluntarily take measures to end their own lives.But,suicide is not a sudden , it has a development process.When you under pressure,there are many way to release your pressure.I suggest that we each find their own way to release stress.His our own life!
what`s a pity! May be what I faced is easy, I really can not imagine why they choose to suicide.I think nothing can not solved.
In our life, we will encounter frustration unavoidably.To escape is not the best way.I have some close friends.When I feel pain or have some questions that I cannot solve ,I will tell them and ask for help.I think I’m the lucky.

In my opinion, the reasons why do boys choose death by hanging while girls choose to jump are as follows. On one hand, girls need some agreements when they are going to die.
They want everyone know the reason why they have no choice but to die. They tell us it’s other people’s faults that led to the suicide. On the other hand, boys have strong self-respect. Thinking of being considered cowardliness, they don’t want everybody know the suicide. So they choose death by hanging.
I think the life is the most precious,at any time death should be the last choice or never choose.That will hurt your parents and family deeply.As an undergraduate,they should know what to do or what not to do.
Life is so much beatiful even without a boyfriend or a girlfriend. We have home, parents, friends, fortunately, we have teachers. Actualy, I am surprised and really moved by Professor Martin’s words. When we have some problems, we can come and find him for help. Life is nice, life is good, life is great. As long as you don’t die, you can make it better.
I want to ask a question: When you know a girl who loss of virginity,will you stil love her?In my opinion,everone have their stories before we meet the right person.If we love each other,we should fogive their past.Because the love.Everyone will make mistake especially when we are young.We have many choice,we can enjoy our lives and tomorrow will be better.

Life is so precious to us,it’s lucky enough for we to live in this world,so donn’t choose to die until you have to,when you are old enough,I know it’s shamful to steal books from library,but I think they can choose to take a part time job so that they can earn enough money to survive,and girls also should not give up their life,think about your parents at home.

How terrible it is for these young students to suicide when they are in trouble.They are so young,and their future life would be better,it is a big pity for them to do so.As we are know the life span is so short,we should cherish every minute of our life,it’s so wonderful.Even if we did wrong things,we can correct it by ourselves.Besides our parents love us so much,they born and teach us and hope we can become useful people to the society. So as young adults,everyone of us should have a right attitude to life.
Life is beautiful,however, some people choose suicide is not for physical pain but the mental wounds.I also believe that nothing can not solve as long as you are alive.if you smile to facing life,life will smlie to you.
I guess if I have to choose a way to die, I want the medicine. As I know that it is hard for us to get sleeping pills, so maybe jump is another way. I remember that when we friends talked about this issue, we said at least jump can let us experience the gravity and the free falling body. For the boys, I suppose hanging may be a way to show their strenth or something.

Why so many students suicide themselves in the unversity? the problem should be discussed more deeply.We should look deeply into the Students’ psychological development.The students who suicide themselves have tender hearts.So what lead to their tender hearts.Their parent or the society or any other things .So in order to decrease the phenomenon, people should seek the cause .

Suicide is a stupid behaviour. The life is beautiful. Although we ofen face lots of problems, we can learn much experience from solving the problems and become muture gradually.
