Harbin Institute of Technology, one of China’s Ivy League Universities, will require 6 native English speaking teachers for the September 2012 school year.
Applicants should hold an M.A. or PhD in English, Linguistics, Education, Second Language Acquisition or Literature. Open to male or female age 30 to 65. Priority will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience in China.
A video interview will be required via Skype, Yahoo IM or MSN Messenger.
FOREIGN TEACHER SALARY PACKAGE
Following is about the salary standard we provide in HIT for International teachers. The starting point of basic payment is 5000 yuan / month with master degree, and 6000 yuan / month with PhD. Teachers with teaching experiences will get corresponding extra payment. Every year of previous teaching experiences will add 100 yuan to the basic payment, and the cumulative maximum is 1500 yuan. If the teacher passes the teaching assessment of HIT, and continue to teach languages here, HIT will increase their monthly salary 200 yuan every year. If the teacher was titled the school’s outstanding teacher, which is granted to international teachers yearly, 400 yuan would be added to the previous monthly salary.
HIT will provide you with a double-room apartment inside campus, equipped with smoke alarms, a refrigerator, an air conditioner, a washing machine, a television, ovens, internet access and so forth. As stipulated in the contract, a round-ticket is offered for the summer vacation, and 4000 yuan of travelling allowance for the summer vacation. Insurances are also provided.
