Holistic English is a radical departure from China’s 30 year failed TEFL pedagogy and methodology. HE requires a paradigm shift in the approach to class size, class scheduling, class facilities, support facilities, and testing. HE recognizes the inevitability of mother tongue interference and allows for a more natural English variation. Students in the Chinese English learning program learn mute English while the HE students become accomplished Chinglish speakers and writers. China unsuccessfully teaches English learning while HE successfully emphasizes English acquisition.
Life is so difficult that all we have to face the hard reality of life.most of us are working for making a living rather than pleasure，even though we should become a man of responsibility and chang our so-so attitude.if we do，just do the best！

As a student, I find I can’t always keep vigorous in study. Sometimes I feel tired and do not want to learn anything, but I try to regulate daily schedual which makes me have time to relax myself. I ofen add some activities such as running, taking a walk, shopping and so on. After relaxing, I go on studying, and say to myself “ if you think you can, then you can. You just need insist on. Never mull over the results.” It is mental strength. It always works.
Sloth is the human’s nature. when we make a plan, we just keep our’s enthusiasm a few days on the plan, we are lack of permanent patience.Laziness can be ovecame if we strict on the plan, and then we will success.
I agree with your point. Every time I want to give up, I always think that the Chinese old says: There is a will, there is a way. I usually tell myself.if I give up now, what I have do was out of value and I will not succeed. So everyone has the puzzle time, when we meet, we can think about our goals, our friends and family,then we will feel good. Just believe me.Haha!

I spend my college life in ZSTU four years. I award something seem to be seccessful. However, I find a job in Zhejiang ZhongDa Textiles CO,.LTD and start working on March,2010. At that time, I insist on working and giving up further study even though I have got the admission qualification of post-graduate. Everyone felt I was so cool ,and I was happy. While, six mouths of working life, which let me know what I want and many questions around me, so I quit the office and come back to school for my further study. But I don’t know if this decision is right? and is this meaning that I am a loser because of not insisting?

Certainlly,I have the same feeling with you.Sometimes,I just do not konw why I come here and why I choose this subject.Everying around me is boring and uninteresting, but I think all the thing will be better tomorrow.
This remind me of the english learning,when I didn’t touch english for a month or even longer,I find it hard to use it at first,which made me understand that if I want to improve my english,I have to use it every day,like you said:english is 24 hours a day,seven days a week,so I believe I will improve my english because I try to insist on english.
I often plan to do something,but actually in the end I did not finish them.I usually think I am really a loser,just as coach Carter said,what is you afraid,it is myself,I cannot win myself,and the plans mean nothing but failure.

yeah，it’s true that if you insist to do something ,you have the chance to succeed ,otherwise ,you have no chance.just try it ,you will find that you can do it .several times,I experience that .when I want to give up for the reason that it’s so difficult ,i maybe give up before ,but now ,i tell myself to insist on ,maybe i will not succeed in the end ,but have chance .just give youself more chance to try,and you will get a lot .

For most chinese students have been used to the less effective way of learning English , it’s not eazy to make a great change in Chinese students’ existing Enlish level .

I really agree with you opinion that insisting will make sucess so I will insist on reading more writing more lisening more and speaking more.Maybe we will be busier as postgraduate,but we will not give up improve English because of our business.
After reading these,I think about so much.I graduated from a famous university and found a job as a teacher in a senior middle school.Yet I love the students and tried my best to teach them, during my teaching time I found I needed to transform my job ,my enviroment,my life.So I chose to go further education.I almost forgot all what I had learned in my collage.It was hard for me to pass the examination of entrance to postgraduate.Especialy I changed the major course.Although there were many difficulties,I still insisted on my decision and tried my best to prepare for it.As some of others, I failed to enter my ideal university at last and came here.Yet I still was happy and going on doing what I want.Because I believed if there is a will, there is a way.No matter where you are, just do it and try your best.
I think the best way to do something is loving it and insisting on it. We always heard that how great if I do this before. In fact it is too late to do something. So let’s do it when you have time and energy, then your life will have no pity.

What do we learn a foreign language for? Communicating with the foreign friends and express our ideas to them. Many facts have proved that chinglish can be understood by them, so why many people critize it? So just speak out in our Chinglish!
I think what you said in the article is truth in China.A lot of the students including some of the English major students are tend have a low English skill accomplishment. Because for the majority of the students，they will seldom use English even never use it in their life，so they always have a negative attitude to English learning,also they always think study English is horrible job.
