Chinese teachers, teaching English as a foreign language, to Chinese students, in Chinese, in China; supplemented by young and inexperienced foreign white monkeys who play the guitar and teach songs and games, while experienced native English teachers over 60 years of age are routinely rejected by National policy; all for the purpose of passing National examinations of dubious value;

Actually, I think those teachers who palying gitar in class just want us to have some more interests in English, they are not wrong. Interesting is the best teacher, I believe this. In fact, my English was really poor before, untill I got interesting with American TV, I am watching it almost everyday, and won’t comfortable unless I watch it. I think this helped me a lot. Everyone will see English everyday just because they like it, fall in love with it.
I don’t know there is a limit of 60 for foreign teachers,an experienced teacher is rejected by national policy,it’s a pitty for both the teachers and our chinese students,hope the policy will changed someday,not age limit to foreign experienced teachers.
Playing gitar in class is just interesting to most students,there is no benifit to learn english,that looks like making a monkey.These policies should be nullified
If the aged teachers could be competent to teach in a foreign country,I don’t care about their age.In my opinion,it’s hard to adapt the life of foreign country,especially for the elderly.In Chinese culture,the elderly should be respected and took good care of,including the foreigners.Maybe it’s a reason to issue the national policy.
Playing gitar and teaching songs and games in the class maybe interesting,but it is no helpful for our English studying.What we need do in learning English is reading,writing,listening and speaking more.I think the roles of teachers should be considered as subsidiary which tells us how to study.And we should learn the studying method not only specific knowledge.
We must reject the inexperienced foreign white monkeys who teach the guitar and place songs and games. The purpose of these people is not for education, they just want to stay in China for a short time. So in the recruitment of foreign teachers, school must have the relevant system, screening out those white monkeys, and hiring experienced foreign teachers.
