In this movie, I saw the wisedom of human, the complexity of the society and also learned many life lessons.Firstly, knowledge is power.If we meet difficulities or have to make a big choice bitween somethings,we can put what we learned into practice. Secondly, we should fight for our own benefits and rights in any time and any place.Thirdly,there is no such thing as a free lunch. If you want to gain something, you must do something.Or you may fall into a trap of danger, just like Mitch in “The Firm”.
After watching the movie, I was deeply impressed by the hero, about his courage, about his wisdom. I have learned two points of this movie. First, facing the irresistibly temptation, we should keep our brain clear. Just as the hero, though he was a top student of Harvard University, he also could not gain without paying. Being employed by a small firm with high salary, he seemed so lucky. But what was waiting him was a huge trap. The trap made him to stay with the firm and committed crimes. Fortunately, he kept a cool head and made the right decision. Second, we should use our knowledge or what we learn to protect ourselves. As the hero, he was an excellent student of law. He has a good knowledge of law, so he knew the weakness of the law and knew how to use the law to talk with the FBI and the boss without breaking the law. So he let FBI had no evidence to arrest him. At last, he succeeded to keep his lawyer identity and save his relatives’ lives.
I like the movie, because the plot is quite thrilling and attractive. After watching the movie, I realized that society is complex and full of trap. We should learn to be independent and intelligent to protect ourselves from being cheated. Besides,we should insist on what is legal and right, and never surrender to the authority.
We should admitted that the college acts as an ivory tower protecting us during the transformative period. When we emerge from the college, we will surely be brand-new yet fragile human beings, toil in the treacherous life out of campus. Then what should we keep in mind after I have watched the movie The Firm.
Never be deduced. Be sure we understand all the advantages and disadvantages, or we may be lured and become a prey.
Be loyal to your mate. Loyalty is of supreme importance during marriage. If you have a love affair, you must have to face its badsides.
Selfhelp is the best help. When the choices availalbe are both harmful to you, try to find a new solution that suits yourself. It is youself that knows what will do you good.
From this movie, we can not only enjoy a good criminal story, but also can learn legal principles of law and important lessons in life.
In my view, the movie title has two meanings. First, it means the law office or our workplace; second, it suggests that the justice is unshakable and we should stick to it.
We should learn legal principles and be someone with a sense of justice. Besides, success wouldn’t come easily. No pain, no gain. We should make great efforts to realize our dream and self value. The hero Mitch McDeere enjoyed extraordinary treatments for nothing. However, soon he found he was in danger. From his creative solution, we also realize that wisdom is quite important. Moreover, we need true friends. Take Mitch McDeere for example, he saved his career and his life with the help from his wife and secretary.
This movie gave me two different suggestions. One is that we should keep a clear mind in front of attractive inducements. Some profitable factors concerned with money can easily blind us and we usually will forget to think twice before making a desicion. Keeping in mind that there is no free charge of lunch, only by hardworking hands and brilliant wisdom can we achieve our goals. The other one is that don’t be bothered by being in a dilemma, such as the actor Mith who was stuck in a situation relating to making a wise choice. In such a situation,we should calm down and choose a way neither harmful to others nor to ourselves. The power of wisdom is so great and we must make good use of it reasonably.
I learn two things from the movie. First, people should work hard and be top students in school. In “The Firm”, Mitch received a good offer before graduation, because he was a top one in law school. Second, people should keep calm before temptation.
From this movie, I learn a lot. Firstly, I know that there is no such thing as a free lunch. No matter what we do, we should pay for it. So we should think twice before doing everything, especially facing those temping things. Secondly, I know that in the society, we should take care of ourselves, because nobody will concern with our situation and our benefit. Like FBI and the Firm, they only pay attention to their own benefits not Mitch’s benefit. Then Mitch gets into dilemma. Thirdly, I learn that we should gain enough knowledge. Mitch knows many a knowledge of law, so that he makes himself out of trouble. So we should now learn hard to gain knowledge as much as possible.
In my opinion, this is a good movie with thrilling and well-organized plots and deep meaning. I have learned something and I appreciate the hero-Mitch McDeere’s personality, such as wisdom, courage and creation.
First and foremost, we should be aware that there is no free lunch for us to take in real world and the society is dangerous and cruel. So we should pay more attention to various traps and avoid to crime. Just as the hero is employed by the firm with high salary, big house and luxurious car. However, he is trapped by the criminal firm.
Secondly, when we encounter illegality, we ought to keep our mind clear and be courageous enough to fight against crime. In the movie, Mitch makes right decision to cooperate with FBI. He creates a solution with his wisdom and makes himself away from the dangerous trap.
Thirdly, the love between the hero and the actress should also be admired although they make a little mistake. After all, they love each other deeply even the wife sacrifices herself to help her husband.
What I learn from THE FIRM is that we should make a good use of our knowledge. PAPER CHASE and THE FIRM have many similarities, but one crucial distinguishment between them is that, the former emphasizes the intake of knowledge while the latter stresses the application of knowledge.I think applying your knowledge to your realistic needs is more important than imprinting the theories in your mind. In the movie, Mitch makes a intelligent plan on the basis of his knowledge and finally jump out of the dilemma. If we don’t use our knowledge in reality, getting high grades or various diplomas is definitely nonsense.
After watching the movie, I was really shocked by the cruel social reality. Now we are also under the protection of our parents, teachers and our status as a student. I think it is really important for us to know the reality before we take steps into the society. In class of International Business Law, we have talked about what we can learn from the movie. And I think the most crucial thing is that I should keep calm and rational and also cannot lose my own principles when I am confronted with not only the temptation from outside but also the danger happened to me. That is to say, I should keep alert and think twice before I make the choice to do the right thing even though there’re so many temptations surrounding me. And also, I should be brave and smart when stuck in dangers. Besides, I should remember that there’s no free lunch in the world. I just cannot dream to reach for what is beyond my grasp and should do things surefootedly. Otherwise, I will pay heavy price for my greed and ignorance. In a word, all things above will become factors which can make me survive in the future life.
The Frirm gives us tips for us when we are in our workplace. Firstly, we should think twice when we decide to choose the job. In my opinion, the more important thing we should consider is the potential of the job rather than the salary. Secondly, we should handle well the relationship of the colleagues. Harmonious relationship makes us feel better and warmer in the office. The last, if we want to make our love everlasting, what we need do is to be loyal to the other one. Loyalty and tolerence make love fresh and forever.
Firstly,I think gifts really can blind eyes, so one should always do the right things without breaking any laws.In our future career life, we need act wisely and not to surrender to the authorities.Therefore,we need gain courage and confidence to fight for justice.Secondly,We should think twice before we want to do something.The third ponit is that we should always keep in mind ‘justice can always win the evil part’,so when you fall into dilemma ,there is no need to complain about life.
This movie also warns us that the real world is nothing like shcool,where you are safe and can always make mistakes then correct them.While,the mistakes you make in the society can be life and death.So,what we need to do now is to learn how to think creatively. Only creative thoughts can get you out of the trap.

From this movie, I to some extent comprehend even a Harvard graduate can be trapped by some crimes. But what he done is trying his best to protect his rights and maintain his career. Once he chooses to support each side, he can not be a lawyer or even lose his life. He pushes him out of this bog maximally through creative thinking. That just hit the point. Creative thinking is what our society request today.

It tells us that we need good personal career integrity and great sense of responsibility in work that we will succeed. However, money doesn’t guarantee success, pursuit of money seldom brings happiness. In the movie, Mitch McDeere under the firm and FBI control. He lose his life even his family. So, I think famliy is the most important.
First of all, I like the movie. Reasons can be divided into many parts. I’ll just say something about what I can learn from the movie.
Just like Martin said, The Paper Chase describes the life of a law student in college and The Firm shows us the life after graduation. I prefer this movie rather than The Paper Chase. Because in this movie, we can see what is the society like when we graduate and gives us some lessons about how to LIVE. We should do everything step by step, because we won’t get something from nothing. No pains, no gains. We should always keep this in our minds.
The Firm is really an entertaining thriller. Meanwhile, it is also a good film which gives me deep thoughts. I have learned a lot from it.
First and foremost, wealth is not so important compared with a normal life. In the movie, the hero gets a considerable salary for his job. However, after he takes that job, his life becomes totally different. The FBI finds him, and his wife also wants to leave him after he is seduced by another woman to sleep with her, which later turns out to be planned by the firm. The hero goes under great pressure. He loses the real happiness of life. A normal life is what he wants most at that time.
Second, let nobody but yourself control your own life. In the film, the hero sets a good example for us. We shouldn’t do anything against the law, otherwise we will get punished and can never do things we really like.
Last but not the least, as a job hunter, one should do a research about the company bofore taking a job in it. A good company is very important for one’s career.

But just as the main character Mitch in the movie, he has this kind of problem, firstly he is scared but finnaly he figures the only way out is to follow his own plan that he should never be against law and control over his life by himself. What’s more, there is another lesson we can learn from him and his wife is that he leaves his wife in order to protect her and she helps him silently. That is what real love is. Besides, I firmly support that no matter what difficulty you encounter the most important thing is never agaist the principle of being a good person and trying all your talents to handle it. The protagonist Mitch McDeere is courageous, righteous, intelligent and admirable. I learn much from the movie. For example, he uses his wisdom to save himself and others without breaking the law.
However, admittedly, Mitch is a common human being. He is not perfect. At the beginning of the movie, he is seduced by the money and gifts. He is totally oblivious to the more sinister side of his company. As it is said, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Thus we should always be aware that if we want to gain something, we have to work hard to achieve it.
At present, it evokes my meditation about choice, which determines whether something is right or wrong. What’s more, life is filled with challenges and adventures. Therefore, in the near future I must have clear idea and judgement on what I should and shouldn’t do. Form the movie I learnt that we should never look down on ourselves and never ever let others control either your life or your career. I think THE FIRM is a fantastic movie. Its hero is the handsome guy, Tom Cruise, who I like very much. I promise the entertaining thrill will make you quickly identified with the actors if you watch it. And this movie also give me some enlightenments. Firstly, you will understand that we had better not to blindly aspire expensive perks when we find a job, because it may be a big trap which the company prepared for you. The society is never safe as you are in college. Secondly, you will also insist that we are now in charge of our own destiny. So long as we try our best to pursue our dream, our future will be favourable at last, no matter how seriously challenges we may face.
I have learnt five morals of life after watching this movie. First and foremost, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Since Mitch(the hero) is a top student in Harvard Law School, he is obviously very popular with many law firms. Finally, he chooses the one that provides him a good salary, a villa as well as a Mercedes. However, when four of his colleagues are murdered, he starts to know the open secret in this firm, which put himself into great danger. So we should so more research about our employers before we enter a company. Secondly, the only ones we can trust are ourselves. When FBI looks into this case, they tells Mitch that they would help him, which turns out to be a lie at last. But due to Mitch’s intelligence and his knowledge of the law, he reecues himself brilliantly. Then, a friend in need is a friend indeed. When Mitch is in trouble, his wife helps him regardless all the dangers. So it could not be better to find some trustworthy friends to help us, though we should not depend on them wholly. Moreover, think creatively when we are facing some difficulties. Society is different from school, the relation between humans is not so pure. We should be aware of the danger in the real world, and learn how to deal with the cruel circumstances. Last but not the least, we cannot sell the cow and drink the milk. When we get something, we must have to sacrifice some other things. Take Mitch for example, when he enjoys luxurious life, his relation with his wife becomes tense. I mean, he loses the balance between life and work. Therefore, we could not be allured by some material rewards, think twice before we make any important decision.
After watching the firm The Film, I have learned a lot of things. Firstly, there is no such a thing as free lunch. In the film Mitch was seduced by the high salary, big house and BMW car which offered by the firm, so he decided to enter the firm. But when he joined in the firm he found there were some sinister dark sides in it. So I think we cannot seduced by the money, reputation or anything else. Secondly, knowledge is power. From the film we can find that Mitch is a very wisdom guy. When he found dark side in the firm and at the same time FBI contacted him and asked him to be a spy for them. When he must make a choice between the firm and FBI, he used his knowledge to flight for himself and finally he escaped from the firm successfully. Thirdly, we should abide by the professional ethics. Mitch has duty of secrecy as a lawyer, so when he met the difficult he cannot break his professional ethics. He just used his intelligence and wisdom and managed to get out of the trouble. Finally, compared the Paper Chase and the Firm I have to say society is crueler than the campus, we cannot know what will happen when we enter the boundless universe. We are junior now, so we should cherish our college life—–the safe environment and make preparation for the cruel society.
In this movie, I think the most important point is that you must learn how to think creatively. The real world is not as perfect as we have thought. When we enter into the real society, maybe we will meet something bad or some difficulties. At this moment, if we can think creatively and don’t always follow others’, we may find a way which not only benefits ourselves, but also scrupulously abides by our principles as a unique person.

As a typical innocent college student in China,I do not have any deep thoughts about what does the society really look and how do people outside school deal with different relationships whth others. Well, after watching “The Firm”, I do realize that it’s much more complicated and harsher the reality is than I’ve considered.
In the movie, I see Mitch as a true man who plays the professioncy of justice in front of tempting materials,money and power, while still does his duty and is completely faithful to the clients as a qualified lawyer. What Mitch do,fighting against or outsmarting the firm, the FBI and the mobs,are definitely brave and worth mentioning. And I learn from him that one should never lose his/her principles and ethics when facing the lures,and always have the courage to contral his/her own life, fighting against the dark side of the society.
Also, a man well-armed with knowledge should also have the ability to practise his wisdon in real life. Anyone fails to adapt to the harsh society may finally fail in his/her own life. So, making ourselves available to the real world is important too.
Actually, the firm gave me a visualized impression of the cruel society, which shocked me so much. Mitch, the promising graduate suffered a lot when pursuing his dream to be a good lawyer.
And as a junior student, I learnt something important for my future from the movie. And the most important is that we should be strong-minded, no matter what you face, difficulties, temptations or anything else. I think it is just like a line leading to dreams; we must find and follow it among a mass of lines.
I was impressed by the story of job-hunting in the beginning of the movie. The hero is a graduate of Harvard law school with high grades and ability. When ordinary graduates are struggling for jobs, he is busy in choosing a firm. I think everyone who has watched the movie envies the hero. So I learn that high grades and ability are really important if we want find a satisfying job easily.
After the enjoyment of seeing the film “The Firm”, I know two things are essential for us to live in this society. They are love and knowledge.
In the movie, Mitch and his wife lived together and loved each other very much. After they knew what a bad situation they were in, they supported each other, pretending to be normal. And because Mitch loved his wife so much that he did not tell her the plan so as to prevent her from involving in this dangerous job. Then, when his wife knew Mitch’s disloyalty, she was very angry and heartbroken and leaving him. However, as she realized that Mitch was trapped she forgave him and helped him in that dangerous job. So i learned love is a good thing, maybe the best thing, and no good thing ever dies. The love between this normal couple casts light on it.
A saying goes that Knowledge is power. In the movie, Mitch used his knowledge of law to fight with the mafia-run company and circulate with the FBI agents. In order to avoid defying the law and the code of manner and mortality for lawyer, Mitch did not follow what the FBI agents told him instead he wisely utilized another way to crush down the company and protect him at the same time. I knew Mitch is a brave and wise lawyer and what he learned in the school protected him in this way.
All in all, what I acquire from The Firm is learning to love and learning knowledge.
We are junior now and we will face the choice of choosing a job in a short time. By watching this movie, we should be aware of that society is not as simple and peaceful as school and we will confront with pitfalls. One lesson from this movie is that there is no free lunch. If we get a good offer with high salary and long days-off or other welfare, we should do a research to find how the company operates, otherwise we may fall into conspiracy. The other lesson I learn from this movie is that we should depend on ourselves. In the movie, Mitch knows no matter he chooses to believe and cooperates with FBI or to tell the company everything, he can not avoid death. He chooses another way to make him and his wife safe. I admire him. In addition to these two lessons, I also learn that love is great. In this movie, Abby takes adventures to date with Avery to help Mitch, while Avery, who knows Abby’s aim, let her go and protect her. When we enter the society, we should be aware of others and do not trust others completely while in the same time, we should trust those who love us.
Success came at a price. Through the movie, I learned the cruelty of the real life. After graduating from the university, we may find our expectation of the future and our passion to contribute to the society gradually fade when facing the reality. Still we may encounter many problems, in which we should make decisions and be responsible for what we have done. If we are asked to do things against our will, we should not lost ourselves and follow our heart.

In the movie, Mitch is too heroic, and the plot seems to be beyond the reality, but it really makes me feel that there is justice existing in the world. What we shoud do is trusting ourselves and being firm when confronted by complicated things. The movie really teaches us some rules in dealing with business and gives us a general view of the business world. And not to mention the true love.
Well, this movie is just as instructive as The Paper Chase. And I have learned several points from it.
Firstly, the society is full of danger. It is not like in university which always provides us friendly environment. There are still many things we need to learn before we enter the society. And always take a heart before we start to do something. Sometimes, the seeming good things may turn out to be bad ones, the seeming kind behaviour may bring you fatal harm.
Secondly, law is something no one can break, if you break it you are down. Just like the end of the company in this film.
Thirdly, if someone want to control your life, don’t be silent, do something to fight it back! Nobody has the right to ruin anyone’s life. And be witty when you are in such condition.
The last one, it is really a big luck to have some trustworthy friends. If we are in a dilemma, our friends can give us some solace, and support us to keep moving.
The Firm tells us that, if you want to succeed, you must have the creative thinkings. That is the key point to differ you from others. Also it tells us that a person can not accumulate wealth rapidly, the wealth is gaining step by step, there is no free lunch in the world, you have to pay the consequences. That last point is that, the true love can conquer everything and the family is always your safest harbour
When we leave school and become a social person, we should be ready to face all kinds of difficultis and tests. First, we should exactly know who is our boss, do not kiss ass on a wrong person. Second, do not want to get something for nothing, just come down to the earth. The last but not least, we should put our professional ethics on the first place when going against with our personal interests. So do not be afraid, think twice and make the best chioce when in a dilemmma, just like Mitch. Tomorrow must be better!
